Like most everybody, I found the 19-year-old Oakland-based singer-songwriter known as mxmtoon (pronounced em-ex-em-toon) on social media — on TikTok, specifically. Her super charming twee-pop is catchy and sincere, and I’m excited to see how it translates to a live show.
