Solar markets both in the U.S. and Germany are growing rapidly, but are still very dependent on government subsidies. Both countries offer a very different set of opportunities in leading the way into the future of the PV industry. The U.S. has huge, yet relatively untapped market potential; a wealth of companies developing promising new technologies and proximity to grid-parity in an ever growing number of regions. Germany is home to some of the largest and most sophisticated global PV companies and offers a large, growing and stable market with a reliable support system. Bringing those two together strategically has provided, and will continue to provide, an outstanding recipe for success.
