The Museum’s fourth annual Block Party, which draws together the area’s entertainment, food, and music purveyors for a celebration of summer, will invite thousands of party-goers to enjoy the 36-acre campus on Saturday, July 8 from 6 to 10 p.m. The festivities are spread out across Monroe Street, which will be closed to traffic, and coincide with the opening of the special exhibition The Berlin Painter and His World, a display of ancient Athenian vase painting. With the season’s focus on the art of Greece, expect inspiration for the Block Party’s food, dance, and music to come from across the Atlantic. Opa!
