John “Mr. Clarinet” Stafford developed his signature style on the world stage, following his brother and a love for music to Louisiana where he was forever changed by the indelible Soul of New Orleans. After years traveling the road of a musician’s life, John arrived in the Bay Area and inevitably settled in Marin. His music is one-of-a-kind lively, sometimes enigmatic, always engaging and fun.

David “Dr. Jazz” Sturdevant followed his heart and music to San Francisco from New York and quickly fell in love with the freedom of music and diversity everywhere. Fond of the street performance scene of Union Square and Fisherman’s Wharf, David carved a place for himself and shortly thereafter began what would become one of the most fun ensemble bands anywhere - The Medicine Ball – and continues to this very day. His unique appeal, enthusiasm and bravado have attracted audiences, other performers and spirits everywhere with music steeped in warmth, friendship and lasting joy.
