The Alternate History of Rincon Center

May 6, 2017 — 12 - 2pm

Jes @Fenchurch

An interactive fiction/puzzle hunt adventure set in downtown SF.

Armed with a smartphone, earbuds, and good shoes the Elsewhere Philatelic Society will send you on an adventure in downtown San Francisco.

Participants will be given a collection of audio guides and clues to send you wandering around Rincon Center and environs. You’ll learn about the alternate history of the area via clues in the environment along with those in your audio files. Call it interactive fiction, a puzzle hunt, or an alternate reality game - either way, when you’re finished, you’ll have a brand new commemorative stamp for your collection.

The Elsewhere Philatelic Society is an art collective that focuses on the drive to achieve Philatelicism (“…the study of the study of stamp collecting, collectors, and collections”), an amorphous mish-mash of public space reinterpretation, street art/environmental installation, publications, machine-augmented concerns, and philately.
