The free public event on August 8 will showcase innovations and initiatives that improve the Veteran experience

WHAT: The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Innovation (VACI), part of the U.S. Departments of Veterans Affairs, announces its second annual Demo Day, showcasing innovations for Veterans presented by 100 healthcare and technology innovators. Demo Day provides a platform for innovators to share highlights, progress and lessons learned about the groundbreaking projects they have designed, piloted, tested, and implemented to improve the Veteran experience. Exhibitors will present the outcomes of their VA Innovators Network Accelerator and Diffusion of Excellence projects to obtain feedback to propel forward their implementation efforts, while also celebrating and amplifying their success to VA and the public. Registration is free and the public is welcome.

A portion of the event will feature formal presentations to the assembled panel of experts from the public and private sector of the healthcare industry across eight different tracks:

• Promoting Healthier Lifestyles Through Holistic Initiatives
• Health Tech
• Improving Disease-Specific Outcomes
• eHealth and mHealth Innovations in Healthcare

• Timely Processes to Improve Care in Our Nation’s Heroes
