Pints & Politics: Should London Lead?

April 13, 2017 — 6 - 7:30am

London is exploring the option to use Ranked Choice Voting (a ranked ballot system) for the 2018 Municipal Election. If council decides to move ahead London will be the first municipality in Canada to use this system.

London has long been a city of firsts, and was even known as an ideal test market city for many years, so innovation is nothing new to the Forest City. While ranked ballots have been successful around the world and even in the Canadian party system (all three major parties used ranked ballots to select their leaders) is London ready to be a leader on this issue?

At the next Pints with host Wes Kinghorn as we discuss the pros and cons of Ranked Choice Voting.
