Perhaps the most prestigious event for classical music aficionados, Ohrid Summer festival takes place in Macedonia between the 12th of July and the 20th of August. It is a large-scale festival with over 40 events, each taking place on a different day throughout the duration of the grandiose classical music exhibition.

The separate concerts and performances are hosted at some of the most iconic locations around the town of Ohrid, where you can appreciate monuments of religious heritage and Macedonian culture. The large-scale performances happen at the Antique theater, as well as the church of St. Sophia, or the newly renovated stage of Dolni Saraj.

Each concert would begin at 20:00, taking place at a different location.

The Ohrid Summer festival is also known for a number of theater plays, performed by some of the most renowned theater ensembles. Guest from the classical music scene include iconic names such as Jose Carreras, Zubin Mehta and other opera singers, conductors, orchestras, solo pianists and violinists and so forth.
