For those of you who don’t know, on March 27th, Dan Seldow, with his family by his side, passed away. Dan was an early backer of the Kickstarter for “The Return of Upcoming.org”

What better way to remember Dan than going for a hike at one of his favorite places. Please join us for a hike at Castle Rock State Park.

Attire:
Hoodies preferred. Wear shoes that can get muddy.

Meet:
We’ll meet at the trailhead by the main parking lot right before 10am.

Getting There:
The park is located on Highway 35, about 2.5 miles SE of the junction with Highway 9. Due to storm damage, you CANNOT get to the park from the South if you take 35 (so come from the North). Park at the Main Park Entrance. We will be hiking to Goat Rock: https://goo.gl/maps/Gor3gJAeiPE2

Castle Rock Parking area has a vehicle day-use of $8. Please bring cash. If you drive yourself, you might want to get there as early as possible.

The hike isn’t too hard, but if you are worried, there is a shortcut if you head out by Partridge Farm.
