A singer, songwriter, novelist, journalist, former singer in a gothic metal band and nominee for the Norwegian version of the Brit Awards, Jenny Hval is a polymath creator with a strong track record. She has recorded six albums, the first two of which appeared under her former alias Rockettothesky, and last year’s most recent record Blood Bitch moved her vividly eclectic songwriting to the next level with its conceptual linking of vampiric horror-noir, menstruation and the work of Virginia Woolf.
