GO Open Data 2017 - Conference Day

May 5, 2017 — 8:30 - 4:30am

GO Open Data is a community-driven annual conference by and for the Ontario Open Data community. GO Open Data 2017 (GOOD17) is a collaborative effort between civil society, IT professionals, bloggers, community and economic developers, city planners, civil servants and more.

Over the past decade and more, access to data and information has created substantial, positive impact for the people of Canada. The open data community in Canada has come a long way, but there’s still so much more left to do.

With the theme of “Canada at 150”, GOOD17 will look back at the progress we’ve made, but also look ahead to where we want to go. The conference program will reflect that, including reflective and visionary sessions and panels:

  • Canada and its role in the open government world
  • Celebrating the open Canada we’ve built
  • Building the open Canada we envision

This year’s conference will include different voices from across the province and country—including many that haven’t always been amplified in conversations around open government and open data.
