DIVE BAR THURSDAY! Because I just found out that upcoming.org is back! Hi, Internet strangers!

Since this is my first post here, let’s start with some introductions: Dive Bar Thursday started in the SF Bay Area Redditors community back in 2011, and has been meeting in the South Bay (mostly) every week since. The jist is simple: FIRST, we meet for dinner. THEN, we go and drink and tip very well. LATER, we go home because it’s Thursday and some of us have work in the morning.

This week, Dive Bar Thursday returns to one of our oldest and most convenient of dinner spots, the L&L Hawaiian BBQ across the street from our wonderful bar. Come on over and get yourself some loco-moco, spam misubi, or some classic chicken katsu where even the “mini” size dinner plate is deceptively huge.

This page you’re looking at is the first time I’ve ever posted Dive Bar outside of Reddit itself and our various Reddit-based meetup communities, so I’m curious how it will go. But if you’re nervous about showing up to a new meetup group, don’t worry! We love newbies and regulars alike!
