Set to an invigorating, reimagined score of Mozart’s timeless opera of the same name, Stephen Mills’, Ballet Austin’s Sarah and Ernest Butler Family Fund Artistic Director, production of The Magic Flute draws you into a world of suspended reality, featuring visually arresting shadow puppetry, mythical creatures, fantastical costumes, star-crossed lovers, and an enchanted instrument that can touch the hearts of all who hear it. Mills collaborated with Dr. Donald Grantham, composer and music professor at the University of Texas, to transform Mozart’s original score into an energetic, well-paced production that will captivate audiences of all ages.
