Mary Beth Doyle Park is an 82-acre park located on Ann Arbor’s southeast side near Malletts Creek. The park contains walking and biking trails, a disc golf course, a playground and other amenities.
We’ll learn about the flora and fauna of the park on our hike. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes and bring water and bug spray if desired.
This is a great time to visit the woodlands in the park – Spring wildflowers will be blooming in abundance. White and yellow trout lilies lead the calendar, followed by mayapples and trilliums. Probably all will be flowering by the last week of April.
We’ll meet at the parking lot off of Packard Rd across from Easy St. You can also park at the Malletts Creek branch of the AADL and walk to the park to meet.
The nature walks are a collaboration between the AADL and Natural Area Preservation, and take place throughout the summer and fall.
