Homo Economicus is an experimental project that engages over twenty artists in seven public installations and events, each exploring the intersection between economy and culture.

One of the seven public events is this play, which will be presented over the course of four Sundays in July (July 8, 15, 22, and 29). The production takes a multi-faceted look at “the economic theory and character of Homo Economicus- the self-interested, rational, and profit-seeking model of humanity created by John Stuart Mill in the late 1800s.” H.E. is especially interested in searching for an answer to the conundrum of how to live a creative life, be a creative person, and yet still put food on the table.

The group has recently received an Artist Bailout grant to partially fund their production.
