Ozomatli, the highly acclaimed L.A. band of Latin hip-hop urban fusionists, will take the stage for a special night of conversation and performance.

Ozomatli appears at Bovard Auditorium just one week before the release of their latest album, Don't Mess With The Dragon (Concord).

The night will consist of a video screening from the band's "Make Your Own Ozomatli Video" project (for their new L.A. ode City of Angels), a panel discussion with the band about their history of social activism and their lifelong relationship to the music of the city of Los Angeles, and, as a grand finale, a rousing live concert.

The evening will be moderated by Josh Kun, associate professor in the Annenberg School of Communication and director of The Popular Music Project at The Norman Lear Center.

Ozomatli is an L.A.-based, multi-ethnic, multiracial group, a living example that music can transcend any cultural or social boundary. Since the group's inception more than 10 years ago, its mission has been to globally spread a message of peace and understanding through diversity in music.
