Greeting from Yahoo!, New Maps Mashups

So, we're up at Yahoo! and very busy working on big changes to Upcoming...

If you haven't been following the news, we were acquired by Yahoo! last month, leading to a quick move to the Bay Area. We're just getting settled in Yahoo's new Santa Clara building, working down the hall from the Flickr crew.

We started here two weeks ago, coinciding nicely with the launch of the new Yahoo! Maps beta and new APIs. This led to a couple of new Upcoming/Y!Maps mashups, MashUpcoming and eGoWalk Events.

Moments ago, Gothamist launched Gothamist Maps, a new maps mashup combining Upcoming.org, Dodgeball, and Google Maps. And finally, Pete Freitag announced a neat hack the day after we were acquired, a natural-language search engine for Upcoming. If you've made any other hacks, please let us know and we'll feature them right here.
