Ubiquitous computing basically refers to a still-emerging field of technology, the kind of digital creations that are so indispensable and integrated into our lives that we almost don't notice them at all. It's not virtual reality, but rather a smoothly functioning, computer-supported reality. Tonight, umbicomp crews from SF, NYC, and Berlin converge to explore the future of such subtle technology.
