Water Resources Program at Research Directorate in Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) takes the initiative to organize a Symposium entitled "Towards Innovative Desalination and Power Generation in Kuwait" to be held in Kuwait on December 9-11, 2007. Prominent leaders in the field are invited to present keynote lectures on the recent issues of desalination and power generation. The symposium is concerned to improve the status of existing power generation and desalination plants, introducing new cogeneration processes including alternative renewable energies such as solar, wind and nuclear energy technologies. The Symposium is also concerned with critical issues associated with power/water cogeneration such as economics, environment and health.
