Summer Sessions: Equatorial Heat - FREE July 14, 2007

The annual outdoor concert series opens with Los Amigos Invisibles. Playing the nightclubs of Caracas before relocating to New York City, this Latin dance band has released several discs on David Byrne's Luaka Bop label. Blending disco, funk, space-age music, and acid jazz, their festive live show is a non-stop party. Forro in the Dark reinvents the popular Northeastern Brazilian music and dance known as forró.
