Sip For Sjogrens - Fine Water Tasting October 23, 2011

Come join us for a casual event as we sample some of the most unique and finest bottled waters from around the world while helping to raise awareness of Sjogren's syndrome.

Sjogrens Syndrome affects between 2-4 million Americans and has recently gained some recognition with Venus Williams announcing her diagnosis of Sjogrens. There is no known cause, or cure for Sjogrens Syndrome. Sjogrens is recognized in the medical community as the most under-diagnosed autoimmune disease due to many symptoms that mimic other conditions.

Although Sjogrens Syndrome is a systemic autoimmune disease, one of the hallmark symptoms is dry mouth. So what better way to raise funds for Sjogren's research and education than to participate in a fine water tasting event!

Our emcee is Emmy award winning TV Host (KQED Check Please!), Today Show wine expert, author & wine consultant, Leslie Sbrocco. And we will also be honoring medical leaders in the Sjogrens field, Honorees Dr. Troy and Leslie Daniels.

The event will include a Fine Water Tasting, Silent Auction,
Wine and Light Refreshments.

All of the proceeds from this event will go directly to support the work of the Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation which includes raising money for research grants, educating the medical community and patients on Sjogrens Syndrome, and creating awareness in general for this autoimmune disease.
