Dr. Samia Rab's research focuses on contemporary architectural and urban conservation issues and the pursuit of regional identity in architecture and urban design. She is an advisor for the East West Centre, Getty Conservation Centre, UNESCO, the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, and teaches at the American University of Sharjah, UAE, where she is Head of Architecture.
