Yassou! Pack your passport as Paniyiri, Queensland’s signature celebration of all things Greek, prepares to deliver Hellenic hospitality at its best over the weekend of 19 - 20 May 2007.

A colourful program featuring three key destinations will satisfy the senses: the tastes of Honey Puffs, Haloumi and Dolmades, the sounds of the Bouzouki, Baglama and Greek Goddess Effie, the moves of the Zorba, Sousta and Tavli checkers, and the smells of award-winning chef George Calombaris cooking up a storm.

Now into its 31st successful year, Paniyiri is a community initiative of the 25,000-strong Greek community of South East Queensland but also the general community in a celebration of fun, food and friendship. The festival is a testament to Greece, proving that it really is a destination where tradition holds firm and where hospitality and living life to the fullest is everything. Andio!
