N.Y.C. Ballet's opening night benefit will feature, in a one-time only performance, the U.S. premiere of Alexei Ratmansky's ballet, "Middle Duet," created for the Kirov in 1998. Ratmansky's ballet premiering last season, "Russian Seasons," NYCB fans will remember, was the most well-received (by critics) of the Diamond Project ballets.

The evening's performances also include the season's only showing of Martins's "Purple" from "Ecstatic Orange" and works by Elo, Robbins, Wheeldon and of course Balanchine.

Performance-only tickets are $20-$100, available on the website or at 212-721-6500. Gala tickets, including pre-performance cocktail reception and post performance black-tie dinner, can be purchased at 212-870-5585.
