TheNo More Drama, When Girls Become Women Expois a FREE, one-day event that will be held on Saturday, April25th, 2009 at Illinois Institute of Technology, Hermann Union Building, 3241 S. Federal St., from 9am-5pm.

The expo is open to all Chicagoland teen girls in grades 9th-12th , parents, and school staff (principals, teachers, counselors, and social workers). Businesses are invited to exhibit their teen-related services and/or products.
The expo will feature interactiveteen girl workshops(grades 9th12th) on self-esteem, anger management, peer pressure, goal-setting, career development, assessing and identifying weaknesses, and applying techniques to utilize their strengths for overall self-improvements. Teen participants will also interact with students through Illinois Institute of Technologys Womens Services Department, Society of Women Engineers, and the Admissions Office to learn about degrees in the fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

Parent and school staff workshopswill focus on relating to teenage girls, helping them to transition into womanhood, proactive solutions to combat low self-esteem in the girls, and the importance of encouraging girlsto continue their education in the fields of STEM.
The expo will also include vendors, lunch, a talk-show segment, and live entertainment.
