Decision 2006: New York State Gubernatorial Debate
September 26, 2006 - 7:00PM to 8:00PM
This will be a live, televised debate between gubernatorial candidates John Faso and Eliot Spitzer, sponsored by Cornell University, the New York State League of Women Voters and the Time Warner Cable news channels in New York state.

Tickets for the event will be available on Friday, September 15th. The tickets are free, but there is a two-ticket limit per person. Tickets will be available at two locations: the Willard Straight Hall ticket office on campus, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., weekdays; and in downtown Ithaca at the ticket office in the Clinton House, located at Cayuga and Seneca streets. Ticket office hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

All seating is general admission. Tickets must be obtained in person.
On the night of the debate, ticket bearers must be in their seats by 6:30 p.m. Ticket bearers not at Bailey Hall by 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 will forfeit their seats to stand-by ticket holders. The televised debate begins promptly at 7:00 p.m.

The debate will be cablecast live on NY1 News and NY1 Noticias in New York City, Capital News 9 in Albany, News 10 Now in Syracuse and R News in Rochester. The cablecast will have captioning for hearing-impaired viewers. The debate will be available live on most public radio stations in New York, with WEOS-FM (Geneva, N.Y.) serving as the flagship.

An American Sign Language interpreter will be at the debate to assist hearing-impaired audience members. Ticket holders who require special assistance due to other disabilities are asked to contact the Cornell Office of Workforce Diversity, Equity and Life Quality at (607) 255-3976.
