Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Competition Qualifiers June 21, 2008

This June, the Plano Sam’s Club is proud to host the race for the world’s “top dog,” as the store hosts a qualifying round for the popular Nathan’s Famous International Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest. The Plano Sam’s Club is one of five Sam's Club locations nationwide hosting the qualifying events.

The winner of each qualifying round will compete at the original Nathan’s Famous in Coney Island July 4th for the coveted “Mustard Yellow Belt.” Both members and guests are welcome to cheer on top eaters from around the country, with names like "The Erbivore" and "Nasty" Nathan, as they vie for a space at the big table.

Additionally, the day’s events will include:
• $1 Nathan’s Hot Dog & Coca-Cola® special in the Sam’s Club cafes
• “Neat Eater” contest for children under 12
• Several other special merchandise features and activities

Beginning this month, Sam’s Club locations nationwide will add the coveted Nathan’s Famous Hot Dogs to the café menu.
