Conservators Jerry Podany (J. Paul Getty Museum), Demetrios Michaelides (University of Cyprus and President of the International Committee for the Conservation of Mosaics), Thomas Roby (Getty Conservation Institute), and John Stewart (English Heritage) discuss the conservation challenges with both those mosaics which have been lifted and taken to museums, and those which have been left in their architectural context in archaeolgical sites. This program complements the exhibition Stories in Stone: Conserving Mosaics of Roman Africa.
