Digital Prints of the
Everyday Life
“I don’t approach any of my work with a predetermined outcome;
there’s not much joy in that.
Working with paper is almost a spiritual treat for me. I admire its
natural fragility that manages somehow to handle the cruelty of time
very well. The effect of Japanese prints on me is significant. Practice of
Martial Arts and interest in Asian philosophy introduced me to
Japanese culture in the early nineties. What I love about Japanese prints
is their simple subjects, original concepts, brilliant composition of the
objects within the print, accurate coloring process, extraordinary colors,
and relatively inexpensive price.
My art is inspired by nature, my urban environment, my travels and
most of all by the small moments in everyday life. The prints I produce
may contain moments of serenity, nature, pleasure or beauty. I enjoy my
ability to express myself in different styles. While one might think that
having variety shows less development on a conceptual level, I see it as
lack of limitations. My concept is always about 'everyday life' and that
is endless.”
