The Mehrbano Musical Ensemble was founded in 1999 and their first performances included the 1999 "Fajr" festival. Since then, the ensemble has performed in concert halls all over and toured and . The group also participated in the musical commemoration of the Iranian poetess Parvin Etisami. This is their first appearance in the GCC
