It's to hot to be hiking in the full sun! So come join us in the cool, shady park west of Houston called Stephen F. Austin Park. There are 2 different car pooling meet spots, so jump in with your friends and come out to the country. The trails at this park are well shaded and follow the Brazos river. After our hike we will join up with the mountain bikers and have a picnic!

We will maintain a moderate to quick pace, with snack & water stops (bring your own), we go approximately 5 to 7 miles.

There is a park fee of $5 unless you have a Texas State Park pass.

Meet either at Stephen F Austin Park, San Felipe TX 77473 or we will be carpooling from Houston.

******* There are 2 site for carpooling: CENTRAL: If you want to car pool from Central Houston to the hike/bike meet us at Onion Creek Cafe. PLEASE DO NOT park in the Onion Creek lot and watch parking signs. We will leave Onion Creek at 7:30 am.

WEST: If you want to car pool from the west side we will meet at the Starbucks, 25800 Katy Fwy, Katy, TX . I will not be at this car pool spot so please look for each other and leave in time to get to the park by 8:30 am (about 40 minutes drive time).
