Update: We have managed to secure the front terrace at the Lounge!

This month is mostly about beer but we're also going to have a "Makes" show and tell i.e. bring along something you've made to chat about - techy or non-techy, food or non-foody :)

Some examples: A website you've built, a woolly hat you've knitted, an iPhone app you've made, chillis you've grown, an Arduino powered greenhouse watering system you've built, a cake you've baked, a ruby gem you've written, photograph's you've taken...

What is GeekUp?
GeekUp is a community of web designers, web developers, and other tech-minded folk from the North. Our socials take place once a month in Chester, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Preston and Manchester and are always a lively place to share ideas and spread a little knowledge.

Who can attend GeekUp?
While the focus for GeekUp is predominately web related anybody involved in the technology industry is more than welcome to attend a GeekUp. The monthly events are free, we just ask that you buy your own beer.

Do 'Mods' count as 'makes'? I.e. should Neal bring the dancemat or the Media Centre PC?

urbanwide

Why not - sounds creative to me! The Media Centre PC might be a bit heavy to cart around Leeds though!! :)

I could do an fascinating monologue about my daily commute... :)
I make it to work every day!

Where's the Front Terrace?

urbanwide

It's right next to where we normally are - the front half of the outside bit...

Will raise a toast to you all in Hobgoblin RUBY ale @ our Xmas Folk Session where we create sublime music & song each month in a North Shropshire hostelry. Solstice greetings to everyone who'll be enjoying a great Wednesday evening.

Having trouble deciding what to bring ... probably coding blanket, maybe a couple of other things
