Join us for a unique and joyful concert by the Pacific Chamber Symphony's brass section. Sonorous, dramatic, and powerful, a brass choir can evoke every mood, from playful to profound, This concert will feature works spanning the centuries, from the intricacy of the antiphonal works of 16th century composer Giovanni Gabrieli (featuring call and response from different parts of the theater) to the drama of 20th century composer Aaron Copeland's mighty "Fanfare for the Common Man". The program will also feature transcriptions for brass ensemble of famous works by composers as stylistically divergent as Bach and Scott Joplin.
