Film: Sharq November 18, 2007

Cinemagic Kuwait are proud to announce the premiere of the Kuwaiti film “Sharq”. The Premiere will be held at Al Sha’ab Cinema on Sunday 18th & Monday 19th of November, commencing at 8:00 p.m. on both evenings.

“Sharq” tells the story of Six childhood friends who embark on the journey of a lifetime across the deserts and cityscapes of Kuwait in search of the world's strongest soccer ball and the one place guaranteed to have it: Sharq.

Written by Erik Sandoval, Abdul-Aziz Al Sharhan, and Fahad Bishara and directed by Erik Sandoval, the film has won several accolades in international film festivals, including Best Independent Short Film at the Independents Film Festival in Tampa, Florida, as well as Best Narrative Short Film at the Ojai Film Festival in Ojai, California. The Film has also been accepted at a host of other film festivals, including the Cannes Film Market.
