Sunday November 19 at 3 PM - Free screening - no admission! Presented by Shiny Object and Fools Foundation. Location: Fools Foundation - 1025 19th St, Sacto. 19th & K - in the alley, in the basement.

Special event: At 3 PM, we will be offering a free screening of the new documentary "Before the Music Dies." This film tells the story of American music during the precarious time we are in where a handful of companies control so much of the music played on the radio and for sale at retail stores. Filmmakers Andrew Shapter and Joel Rasmussen traveled the country, hoping to understand why mainstream music seems so packaged and repetitive, and whether corporations really had the power to silence musical innovation. Featuring Dave Matthews, Elvis Costello, Eric Clapton, Branford Marsalis, Bonnie Raitt, Erykah Badu and others. Again, this is a free screening on Sunday, Nov. 19 at 3 PM.

We are doing regular weekly film screenings with Fools Foundation on Fridays at 7 PM - and most are $5 (unless otherwise noted in advance - for instance, this special Sunday matinee which is free), and will have filmmakers out from time to time.
