Electronic Filing Requirements: A Presentation by the U.S. DOL July 13, 2012

The Electronic Filing Requirements webinar, a compliance assistance program by the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) of the United States Department of Labor, is designed to educate and improve employer and plan fiduciaries understanding about their annual reporting obligations to the government under the Department of Labor's Final Rule on Annual Reporting and Disclosure related to the Form 5500 Annual Returns/Reports utilizing the EFAST electronic filing system.

About the Presenters

Dania Kanafani is a Benefits Advisor with the United States Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration. She has been with the agency for over 10 years. Ms. Kanafani conducts presentations on ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and pension plans to participants, beneficiaries as well as plan sponsors and fiduciaries.

David Stonebraker has been with the U. S. Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration since 1995. He began his career as an Investigator and promoted to Senior Investigator in 2000. His duties included conducting complex civil and criminal investigations into violations of ERISA. He was promoted again in 2005 to Regional Criminal Coordinator to manage the region's criminal enforcement program and cases as well as providing criminal trial support for the U.S. Department of Justice covering the seven northwestern states. His most recent duties as a Benefits Advisor include providing advice to plan sponsors, fiduciaries, service providers, participants, and beneficiaries. Mr. Stonebraker has also been with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
