On December 2nd, Sherman Mills Arts Council is holding their first annual Winter Festival. East Falls Glassworks will be participating along with more than 20 other Sherman Mills artists. There will be lots of crafts for sale, just in time for the holiday season, including glasswork made at East Falls Glassworks. The festival starts at noon and runs through 6:00 PM.

The artists and artisans at Sherman Mills have been hard at work for the past few months creating special work just for the holiday season. There will be work for sale starting under $20, and perfect for the holidays.

Art at the festival will include blown, fused, and stained glass; ceramic vessels; handwoven scarves, shawls, and blankets; distinctive jewelry and metal work; paintings, drawings, notebooks and cards. Both galleries at Sherman Mills: Crafts for Living and Schuylkill Gallery will be open to visitors.

Bring the whole family and enjoy hot chocolate and cider. Join in arts and crafts for the kids from 2 - 4pm. Chat with the artists and artisans and watch free glassblowing demonstrations. Enjoy the season.

While you have giving on your mind, give to those less fortunate than you. smARTS is pleased to support the more than 1000 children and their families that Northern Home for Children serves. These families are in critical need of warm hats, mittens, scaves and coats in all sizes. Bring these items (new or in good condition) to the Winter Festival and drop them off at the Northern Home table. Cash contributions are also accepted.
