CELEBRATION of LIGHTS (for families and people of all ages) December 10, 2005

Families are invited to take part in a magical evening at the Nature Center as holiday traditions come to life. Guides lead walks along the Stearns Trail and stop at various stations to illustrate how people from all around the world use lights in their cultural and religious traditions during the darkest days of the year. Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, German, Thai, Croatian and other cultures are represented. Group tours leave about every 10 minutes and last about 40 minutes. The first tour leaves at 6 p.m. and the last tour leaves by 8 p.m. Cider and cookies are served after each tour. Advance registration is a must; the event always sells out. Tickets are $5 for members, $10 for non-members and free for children 2 years old and younger. When you call to register, you will be given a time to arrive.
