“Cadillac Cares” Houston Facebook Challenge Will Award $50,000 Worth of Advertising to Winning Houston Charity May 17, 2011

Three Houston, Texas charities – Children’s Museum of Houston, Houston Food Bank and the YMCA of Greater Houston – have an opportunity to compete for a grand award of $50,000 worth of advertising for their organization. The non-profits will compete in the “Cadillac Cares” Houston Challenge, which will run on Facebook from May 9 to June 6, 2011, and is sponsored by Houston Area Cadillac Dealers. Facebook voters will decide the winner.

The Three charities touch Houston residents in diverse ways:

• The Children’s Museum of Houston is America’s No. 1 children’s museum! It is dedicated to transforming communities through innovative, child-centered learning with a vision to spark a passion for lifelong learning in all children. • The Houston Food Bank is the largest source of food for hunger relief charities in 18 southeast Texas counties. A network of nearly 500 food pantries, soup kitchens, senior centers and other agencies, feeding a total of 137,000 people each week, provides more than 65 million pounds of food and prepared meals annually. http://houstonfoodbank.org.

• The YMCA of Greater Houston has been nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living & fostering a sense of social responsibility since 1886. Serving over 900,000 people annually, the Y believes that lasting personal & social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health & our neighbors. http://www.ymcahouston.org

Each charity will have a description and voting button on the Houston Area Cadillac Dealers Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/HoustonAreaCadillacDealers. Anyone who has “liked” the Houston Area Cadillac Dealers Facebook page can cast their votes for one charity once a day. The winner will be completely decided by the voters. The promotion begins May 9, 2011, and the charity with the most votes at the end of the Challenge on June 6, 2011, will win the $50,000 in advertising.

The $50,000 grand award includes television advertising, radio advertising and print advertising. The other charities will receive $1,000 cash donations.
