During his presentation at the next London Ruby User Group meeting, Benjohn will build a very simple 'talker': a socket that accepts connections that are sent to everyone connected. Benjohn wil use Ruby's TCPServer and TCPSocket classes for this and will build a very simple manager for these objects. He'll cover how to add functionality by "extend"ing these with event handler. He'll make use of IRB and will demo ideas for this whilst building up a script for the code. The objective of Benjohn's talk is to show how easy this stuff is in Ruby.
