This Thursday Cheeky B*stard is proud to present a DJ set by the highly esteemed James Murphy (DFA Records / LCD Soundsystem).
Murphy is well recognized as a powerful force for good in the New York music scene. His label DFA Records have brought us The Rapture, The Juan Maclean, Radio 4, and his own band, LCD Soundsystem - earning the ear and respect of rock'n'roll kids and electronic heads everywhere.
LCD Soundsystem has become the most recognizable name in a new and growing area of music that blends guitars, drum machines and a punk ethic. Their style is typified by recent hits such as 'Daft Punk Is Playing At My House' and 'Tribulations' - which regularly light up dancefloors - and are showing us new possibilities for the future of underground dance music.
Alex English (Robot Rock / Girls & Boys) will also be spinning in the Ballroom.
