Deadline for Submissions to the Northfield Very Short Play Festival February 7, 2006

The Northfield Arts Guild is proud to solicit submissions for a festival of
very short plays to coincide with Downtown Northfield's Third Thursday in
March. All submissions must be from one to fifteen minutes in length. The
Grand Event Center in Northfield will host this evening on Thursday, March
16, 2006. Submissions can be complete plays or stand-alone excerpts from
plays. Comedy, drama, interactive,
musical, absurdist, monologue, any type of play will be accepted. Writers
of any age are encouraged to submit their work. Writers who have their
plays chosen will be expected to pick their own actors and direct their play
for the performance night on March 16. All technical elements of the play
must be staged as minimalistically as possible; lighting, sound, sets and
props should not be a significant factor in the action of the play.
