What are these events like? What should I expect to learn or to experience?
Over 100 people are signed up for this, which is a bit daunting. Geeks? Big social do? Does not compute!

I don't know about the Texas Embassy one, but I've been to one up near Oxford Street (they're organised separately, apparently). They're good fun. The talks are quite short at the Oxford Street one. Scoble gave a long talk about a while back and it was really interesting.
