Brooklyn, NY April 11th Several artist, students and professors from Pratt Institute will be printing large 4 foot by 8 foot woodblock prints with a steamroller. That’s right a giant street flattening heavy man driven steamroller. This will be the third year of the event that was conceived by artist and professor Dennis McNett. This year will include over 40 different blocks by 40 different artists, live music, on site t-shirt printing, print sales and more. The event takes place outdoors on campus between Pantas and Pratt Studios.
This project was originated to push printmaking outside of the bounds of the
medium and get students to engage in not only the challenge of carving a huge 4 foot by 8 foot woodcut print, but working collaboratively with one another and participating in an event larger than themselves. It also allows students to blow off some spring steam in a creative manner. The first event was a huge success. The images have always been impressive. Prepare to be amazed.
On April the 11th come and witness the 3rd annual Big Damn Prints event, get inky and stinky, and have a blast.

With musical performance by the God Damn Rattlesnake, Brainstorm, Roletta Fynn
