Live storytelling is a phenomenon offering fun (and low-cost) entertainment for people looking for something different. Cheaper than a movie or a play, it offers the thrill of live entertainment, plus the opportunity to hear many talented local storytellers.

Every year Houston Storytellers Guild presents Tellebration, an annual evening event of storytelling (celebrated simultaneously in cities across the world).

Almost all events are family-friendly. Stories told at these events run the gamut: personal tales, traditional Texas stories, tall tales, fairy tales, humor, ghost stories. Most events feature established professional tellers as well as selected amateurs from the community.

This year's event takes place at the Museum of Natural Science (One Hermann Circle Drive in Herman Park). Go to the Lower Level Conference room (there will hopefully be signs).

General admission for the evening performance is $5. If this is your first Houston Storytelling Guild event, admission is FREE!
