Prince George’s County Memorial Library System invites you to join in Maryland’s first-ever statewide community read! One Maryland One Book brings together people in communities across the state through the shared experience of reading and discussing the same book.

The selected book is A Hope in the Unseen: An American Odyssey from the Inner City to the Ivy League by Ron Suskind. It follows Cedric Jennings, a talented young man from southeast Washington, DC, from the tenth grade at Ballou High School through his freshman year at Brown University. Readers share the ups and downs Cedric faces during his struggle to make it out of his neighborhood and adjust to an Ivy League school.
