Ten groups performing for free in Riverside Park. 30 tables showcasing various organizations and causes. Food, wine, beer, a full day of celebration for the whole family. In the past two years, we have had Matisyahu, Aviv Geffen, Soulfarm, Blue Fringe, Pharoah's Daughter, Golem, Oi Va Voi and many others. This year's line up will be even better.

From 12pm-2:30pm, we present Yiddish Fest, sponsored by The Workmen's Circle/Arbeter Ring. Then beginning at 2pm, we kick off Jewzapalooza with seven different groups from around the world featuring the bands below. As if that weren't enough! From 12noon to 5pm at 92nd St. & Lexington Ave. we're hosting a free Jewzapalooza "East" with three more bands!

Hadag Nahash
Hadag Nahash was formed in Jerusalem in 1996. After touring Israel for more than four years and, in the process, gathering a large following, they released their first album "Hamehona Shel HaGroove" (The Groove Machine) in September 2000. The album was very successful, had two #1 hits, and proved that excellent music can go along with important ideas. The band plays a unique style of music that blends Hip-Hop, Funk, Jazz, Electro and Rock, all combined with a touch of Middle Eastern influence. Most of the lyrics deal with life in Israel and include a critique of social, political, racial and gender oriented issues. The lyrics express both pain and pleasure and are spiced up with a sarcastic sense of humor and a groovy sound.

David Broza
Transcending national and artistic boundaries, this guitarist-composer sings in English, Hebrew and Spanish - and with his flamenco and salsa-tinged folk-rock melodies and keen talent for breathing musical life into sensual snippets of poetry, David is a formidable musical force of nature.

Pharoah's Daughter
Basya Schechter's band is one of the most popular and exciting New York groups blending world music influences into danceable crowd pleasing jam.

Neshama Carlebach
Shlomo Carlebach's oldest daughter and protege is continuing the tradition of bringing sol and spirit to the music.

Yosi Piamenta's Heavenly Jam Band
Known as the "Hasidic Hendrix," Yosi will be grooving the crowd with guitar and backed by well-known players from the jam band festival circuit.

Y-Love
This Brooklyn convert to Hassidism is among the most innovative freestylers on the scene, weaving seamless polyglot rhymes in English, Arabic, Yiddish, and Hebrew.



SoCalled
Socalled will entertain and astonish you with his funtastic, klez-drenched hip hop dance party. He's accompanied by Susan Watts-Hoffman and Allen Watsky.

Alicia Svigals of the Klezmatics and her all-star all-female klezmer band bring their woman-influenced spin on Jewish roots music.

The Klez Dispensers
This 8-piece troup has been called "the house band for klezmer's newest wave."
